CiSMAT and the ROBERVAL Laboratory of the Compiègne University of Compiègne (UTC) just started a new and promising scientific collaboration, on the 1. October 2020. The Roberval laboratory is a joint research unit of UTC and CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique).
Their scientific staff are specialists in the design of innovative mechanical and multiphysical components and systems, in an interdisciplinary context. In particular, they have internationally acknowledged expertise in the field of composite materials for aeronautics, and in the numerical optimisation of mechanical parts.
The cooperation between CiSMAT and the ROBERVAL laboratory officially started on October 1, 2020 in the form of two doctoral theses. One of these two doctoral theses will even take place half in France and half in Austria.
These two projects will not only allow the two teams to benefit from the complementary skills of the other team, they will also offer students the opportunity to train in research under the best possible conditions.
